No matter what your sewing level is, I've collected here a few projects from a cute quick-and-easy recycled dishtowel tote to a more advanced Alexander McQueen kimono-style jacket to get you in that sewing spirit.

Lisa of the U-handbag blog has a tutorial on how to sew the perfect zipper--in this case, for a boomerang, zippered pouch with pocket and loop. The photos are really helpful and cover all the steps. Link.

HOW TO - Sew a Reusable Tea Bag
Kristin at Craft Leftovers shows us how to sew a reusable tea bag. Kristin says, "I just love tea.... love it. But I'm not too fond of tea bags. They just seem so wasteful to me. Unfortunately, as on the go as I am, they are sometimes the best option for my travel mug. A solution was needed and these little reusable cloth tea bags were the perfect answer to my problem." Kristin's blog is great and is filled with lots of recycle projects. Link.
