Hello Crafters!
Yes, it's been a while since I've been talking to all you lovelies here in the CRAFT newsletter. I hope you've enjoyed our Mending Month projects, where we covered all kinds of ways to mend clothing, furniture, dishes, and even makeup. This month, we are happy to present to you ... Crafting with Nature!

Crochet Wood Bowl
And for being so special and subscribing to our newsletter, you now have this Crocheted Wood Bowl project by Vickie Howell right now -- before it debuts on Craftzine in 2 weeks. Vickie takes crochet to a whole new level by crocheting a wooden salad bowl with pineapple yarn. Yes, yarn from pineapples! How cool is this? Maker Faire
Maker Faire
Maker Faire is coming soon! Following on President Obama's call to "begin again the work of remaking America," Maker Faire 2009 will be organized around the theme of Re-Make America. Held in the San Francisco Bay Area on May 30-31, Maker Faire celebrates what President Obama called "the risk takers, the doers, and the makers of things." The fourth annual Maker Faire will showcase individual creativity and grassroots innovation in the largest festival devoted to DIY culture and technology in the country.

The CRAFT area will be going strong with hourly demos from your favorite crafters, such as Cathy Callahan, Susan Beal, and more! And get your indie shopping on at Bazaar Bizarre. Don't wait in line at the Faire when you can buy your tickets online today!
