Shibori Felting
Catching up on the blog reads this morning I came across Shibori Felting from Betz White who taught a workshop this weekend. Shibori is the art of Japanese tye-dying and this felting technique uses the same idea of tying to create felted beauty. It looks like a fun way to take your felting projects further too. Check out more from Betz's recent workshop. Link.
Here's more Shibori Felting projects and information:
I love this close up shot from sixandahalfstitches' tutorial on Whip Up. - Link.

Girl's Day in Japan
Saturday March 3rd was Girl's Day in Japan, or "Hina-matsuri" to wish girls a healthy growth. I've only just heard about it this year and it sounds amazing! Pictured above is My Little Mochi's recap of the celebration in her household. I also love Ping Mag's historical on how-to dress a traditional Japanese doll for Girls' Day which includes lots of photos and more history on the celebration. Link.
